Updates June 8 2015

After 8 months in Europe adjusting to a new schedule for work, training and life style I am finally settled and ready to start a new routine. I joined an amazing group of triathletes in Paris from the Expatries team and they have been my main source of group training since I arrived, the activities are daily and I was able to pick a few that would be possible given my work schedule and singing life style.

I started training with them and realized quickly that we could bike all winter. I left my bike in Boston thinking I would not be able to bike until May but in January I brought my bike. I havent been on the road with it so far at all but I am hoping to soon. I have done a few half marathons and a super sprint tri. I am registered for Paris Olympic in July and an Aquatholon and last month I had to cancel my June race because of my long trip to Boston in May. I didn’t train much last month with all the travels but I am ready to start the summer in Paris full throtle. The team members are very supportive and they have just started the open water swims when I left for Boston and I now have my own pass to swim! I cant wait to try the lakes here. The social aspects of the triathlon community is fantastic and I have made great close friends. I cant wait to see in October how the full season will end up being for me. Finding a stable routine is important and I havent found it, I tried going to the piscine near by but the hours were a bit early. The parks around are easy to run and the Seine too. I was able to run from Eiffel to home this past weekend and it was the first time I felt like I felt in Boston running in my town. At home I am still doing my weights but not consistently and I have added a new push up routine that is getting me excited. Soon, I should get back in shape like before. Small steps
